The answer is actually quite simple.

Photography exists because of light. Without it, there is no photograph. And when we were searching for a name many years ago, we kept returning to a single idea.

What if the role of a photographer is not very different from the role light plays in nature?

The word “photo” comes from the Greek word for light.

Photosynthesis is the process through which light is transformed into something that can sustain life.

We are not scientists, of course. But the idea stayed with us.

Because in many ways, photography begins with the same raw material.

Light enters a scene. A moment unfolds. And something fleeting is transformed into something that can outlast the day itself.

That idea eventually became the foundation of Photosynthesis Photography Services.

Not because we wanted a clever name, but because it reflected the way we think about wedding photography.

Our job is to notice those moments, use light to preserve them, and create photographs that allow people to return to them years later.
